Job Description
My client is looking for an Associate Director/Associate Quantity Surveyor to be based from their London City office. The successful candidate will need to have a proven Quantity Surveying background and will ideally be a member of the RICS. Location: London City My client is one of the leading consultancys who are key figures in the construction industry and who provide programme/project management, cost management and management consultancy services. Their expertise has allowed them to grow to span across six continents and over 50 offices. As one of the first consultancies in the construction sector to recruit due to winning work they have an ambitious growth plan and need quality candidates to help with this growth. Considered a big company with a small company feel working in a flat hierarchy structure, social environment where staff feel welcomed and not just a number. Our client requires Quantity Surveyors to do the whole 360 project cycle and have the ability to take control with key clients so naturally client facing skills and being presentable are important attributes for anyone applying. The opportunity to move from one business unit to another is one of the attractive prospects as each unit focuses on certain sectors including Public & Government work, Retail & Commercial developments, Health Science & Education, Infrastructure Rail & Airports and Large Mixed Developments. One of their key business units is the Mechanical & Electrical team which works across all the sectors mentioned above. They are looking for an experience Associate Director to work along side the head of that unit. The Mechanical & Electrical Associate Director needs to have management experience and can have come from a consultancy background or contractor as long as they have good pre contract experience on large M&E packages. Whilst the company is large, the London office has just been restructured into specific industry units. One of their teams works across all the industry units and specialise in Mechanical & Electrical Cost services to a variety of projects worth up to £50m. Skills Required: The successful candidate will be a degree-qualified Chartered Quantity Surveyor with thorough experience. They will manage and check subordinates work, and will have previously led and managed a team of surveyors. Good all round Mechanical and Electrical experience is essential. Career progression with our client is high on the agenda with evaluation reviews every three months. This is an excellent opportunity for a good Senior Quantity Surveyor to make the next step into managing a team or for an established Partner or Associate Director to work for a company who has a robust reputation in the market with key repeat business clients.
