We provide full-scale professional services to both public and private sector transportation clients. TranSystems has an opening for a Civil Engineer II to join our growing Rail and Transit Group in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. Qualified candidates will have a BSCE and a minimum of 5-10 years of transportation engineering or land development design experience. An EIT or PE designation is required. The successful candidate for this position will work independently as well as with other team members in the design of rail and transit related facilities. Responsibilities include the development of planning studies, completion of infrastructure designs, production of construction plans, and the writing of construction specifications. The candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD, Land Development Desktop or Civil 3D, Haestad Methods or other drainage software, MS Office, and be familiar with local, state, and federal site development regulations. Knowledge of rail design, drainage design, Microstation, and GEOPAK is desirable.
