Job Description
Our client requires an experienced engineer to join their company to carry out maintenance and servicing on modern rolling stock, in the South London area. Salary and Location Based in Selhurst, Starting on £28,000 + Travel Benefits Job Description • To carry out maintenance and servicing on modern rolling stock. • Carry out exams, routine maintenance and fault finding on the units. • To conduct preventative and reactive maintenance. • Work on both Electrical and Mechanical service and repair to systems inclusive of wheels, brakes, bogies, driver controls, Air Conditioning, lighting, heating and toilets. • Mentor apprentices who currently work within the organisation. Required Experience For this role you are required to have • Engineering maintenance experience in rail aviation, naval or heavy plant machinery. • Rail experience is preferred but not an essential, providing that applicants have prior engineering maintenance experience. • Must be mechanically/Electrically biased and have NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent (apprenticeship) in a mechanical/electrical discipline. • Have an appreciation of electrical/mechanical systems. • Must be willing to work shift patterns.
