More information about this job: Overview: The time is right to join HNTB! We are currently seeking an Environmental Project Manager to support our Transportation Environmental Planning Practice located in our Arlington, VA office. Responsibilities: An Environmental Project Manager for environmental projects will work with a team of environmental planners and scientists to perform environmental studies and compliance activities for a wide range of assignments including large, complex transportation projects. A thorough knowledge of the NEPA process and associated rules and regulations is essential. Experience with transportation environmental documentation (i.e. highway, rail or aviation) is required. This position involves diversified work within general procedures, requiring frequent judgment and initiative. The Successful Candidate will: * Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of environmental documents; including Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact Statements and other technical reports as needed to assess impacts. * Coordinate with design team members to ensure compliance with environmental commitments and permit requirements as well as preparing permit applications, and related documents * Formulate and conduct technical planning studies in a timely and efficient manner and present results in concise, well-written documents * Prepare/review scope and fees and proposals; manage budgets, work schedules and project staffing Qualifications: * Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Planning, with 8-10+ years of Environmental and/or Transportation Planning/Project Management experience. * PE, AICP or CEP Required * Candidate must have a strong Environmental Planning background on highway, rail and/or aviation planning projects. * Candidate must be familiar with the NEPA process and experienced in the preparation of environmental documents such as Environmental Impact Studies (EIS), Environmental Assessments (EA) and Categorical Exclusions. * Experience working with DDOT, VDOT, MDSHA, MTA, MWAA and/or WMATA preferred.
