GPON Strategic Sales Lead – Vertical / Carrier Markets – Telecoms - UAE



Our customer is a leading, international telecoms solutions provider to both fixed and mobile operators. Due to expansion they require an experienced GPON Strategic Sales Lead to be based in Abu Dhabi. Your role is to push forward and recognise opportunities in the vertical sector (governement, public sector, oil and gas, defence etc). The role will suit somebody with a technical background who is now focussed mainly on sales with some pre-sales abilities. GPON (or NGA) experience is mandatory.



Description:

Lead the development of breakthrough GPON and Next Generation Access (NGA) Sales throughout MEA to Carrier customers and Vertical Markets.

He/she will support the following activities:

To lead the GPON team put in place at MEA level to boost order intake and increase our customer’s market share in GPON in the region
Define and develop new GPON business strategy and opportunities throughout MEA towards carrier customers and Vertical Markets.
To support key account teams in penetrating new fixed access segment within the account.
To coordinate and liaise effectively with Pre-Sales, Solutions & Marketing Regional teams and EMEA Competence center.
To promote our customer’s image in GPON within the market place and conduct business in an ethical, professional manner.

Qualifications:

Extensive experience in telecommunications industry and preferably with a Telecom vendor or Service Provider organization.
Proven Experience in GPON or NGA domain.
Strong sense of customer focus.
Able to work effectively with CxO levels of clients.
Commercially astute, demonstrating business oriented acumen.
The ability to understand solutions and present them to customers in business terms that demonstrate the value of our solutions.
Proactive, flexible and autonomous.
Good attitude to team working in an international environment.
Ability to accommodate travel requirements of position.
Fluent English - Fluent Arabic desirable.
