Job Title: Installation Manager (Railway Signalling)
Salary: Up to £50,000 p.a.
Location: Birmingham

This market leading organisation is seeking an experienced engineer / manager to control and manage a number of subcontractor Site Installation and Testing Activities Works.
The post holder will undertake the following key duties:
* Responsible for managing the personal safety and administration of allocated staff and contractors and ensure that work is carried out safety.
* Organise and plan work to maximise utilisation of resources.
* Ensure task sheets are completed in a timely and accurate fashion.
* Carry out safety and quality audits on all Rail Site Workers.
* Ensure that the briefing of instructions to allocated staff is carried out in a timely fashion.
* Responsible for checking and certifying timesheets ensuring correct hours booking and appropriation.
* Responsible for the timekeeping and discipline of allocated staff.
* Responsible for the Performance Management of allocated staff.
* Monitor and control allocated budgets and prepare reports and programmes as required by the Project.
* Liaise with the Project Manager on all Site activities.
* Support and/or represent the Project Manager at Client Meetings.
The successful candidate will hold the following essential qualifications:
* MUST hold a current IRSE Installation Manager.
* Experience in railway signalling.
* Proven experience of People Management.
* Fully conversant with all current installation practices, LUL Standards, Health and Safety legislation and standards.
* Must be used to working to and reporting against a contracted schedule.
* Excellent communications skills.
* Assertive and influential.
* Must be prepared to travel and lodge away from home depot when required by operational circumstances.
