We are particularly interested in commercial Project Managers with backgrounds in civil construction, oil, gas, automotive, aerospace or transportation. We are looking for a Quality Engineer for our King Abdullah Financial Monorail project based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Your Role Assist the Quality Manager in managing the Quality function on the KAFD Project. Your responsibilities Discharge the KAFD Project Audit Plan and ensure close out of all related NCRs and CARs. Facilitate external audits (e.g Customer, Group Legal Compliance, ISO/IRIS etc) as required in conjunction with the Quality Manager Establishing and implementing QA/QC protocol with Electrical & Mechanical (E&M) suppliers and internal partners according to Technical Requirements documents and E&M standards Responsible for auditing of E&M suppliers and internal partners testing programs, including in-progress witness hold points, first article inspections, releases for shipment and final acceptance documentation. Assist the Quality & Systems Assurance Manager in maintaining the VLU Project Quality Management System, supporting plans, procedures and objectives Assist the Quality Manager in ensuring that the BT scope of supply for the KAFD Monorail Project is delivered to a consistent level of quality to meet BT and customer requirements and that ensures the continued optimal performance of the system during operation and maintenance Qualifications Your Experience and Qualifications Degree Qualification (or equivalent) The post holder will hold a recognised qualification in Quality and be able to demonstrate practical experience of working in a complex, high value, project management environment. Preferably, with an engineering background in the rail industry, or with experience gained working for manufacturing companies where systems integration is key. Able to interpret drawings, specifications and regulations. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication, organisational and management skills. Must be familiar with various Project contractual structures and how failure of subcontractors to comply with project needs effects project success. The post holder will be able to influence and be credible in the eyes of the customer i.e. customer facin The post holder will be a qualified lead auditor / inspector.
