Description: Parsons Brinckerhoff provides diverse strategic consulting, planning and engineering services for the continually expanding ports and intermodal markets. Our team comprises highly motivated analysts, planners and engineers with a variety of technical backgrounds including economists, operations analysts, civil, environmental, ocean and structural engineering, working in several key locations across the US and internationally. Our strength is derived from the diversity of our marine-related work and our staff. PB is currently seeking a motivated mid level Port and/or Intermodal Rail Planner to enhance our Port Planning Practice. The position offers career growth with opportunities to work on major ports and marine projects both nationally and internationally. Specific duties associated with this position include operations analysis, capacity modeling, conceptual planning, cost estimating and construction phasing for marine facilities including various types of cargo terminals (e.g. container, dry bulk, liquid bulk, break-bulk...) and related in-water and inland port projects. Technical leadership on projects, business development and project management skills are also required for this position. Requirements: Experience Required: The successful candidate shall have a minimum of 8-10 years experience leading planning work in port, shipping terminal or marine related industry. Education Required: The successful candidate shall have a minimum of a bachelors degree in planning, engineering or another related discipline.
