Job Description
Description: This is a fantastic opportunity for a Power Engineer with a background in the rail industry, ideally. You will join a busy team working on power supply upgrade projects. Key tasks will include: * Development of power supply requirements, working in a project delivery focussed environment with contractors and stakeholders. * Engineering support to project teams, making sure technical standards are adhered to through review of contractor designs. In order to be considered, you MUST be able to display the following: * Experience in carrying out, checking and approving electrical power supply designs, preferably within an electrical consultancy or contracting environment. * Previous experience working with power supply equipment, preferably in the railway sector. * Knowledge in the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of power supply assets. * In depth technical knowledge of protection systems for power supply equipment and DC and High Voltage AC distribution plant, such as transformers, cabling systems and switchgear. You should be qualified to a minimum of HNC level (or equivalent) in electrical engineering, preferably with chartered status or heading towards that with experience working on power supply projects.
