Right now, we’re looking for an experienced Principal Telecommunications Engineer to join our Rail team in our in our Sydney office.

As the Principal Telecommunications Engineer you will be a proven technical leader, having delivered detailed design of telecommunications backbone cabling, station communications and train radio. Additionally you have led construction staging, testing and commissioning along with signalling interface. Managing a variety of projects you will ensure delivery and quality is of the highest standards, developing technical processes and controls as necessary.

The role will require strategic development of the telecommunications team, in rail orientated work, primarily. An essential element of this position is to cement strong working relationships within PB and promote an ongoing collaborative approach to resource utilisation within the business.

To succeed in this role you will have a good understanding of Australian standards and practices for telecommunications in railway systems and stations environments. You will posses excellent leadership skills, including communication and coordination skills along with the ability to scope, program and determine work breakdown structure.
