Job Description
Overview: HNTB Corporation is seeking a Mid level systems integrators to join the firm?s growing rail systems engineering practice. These positions will be based in the firm?s Oakland, California office. The successful candidates will be responsible for the intergration of system elements, including traction power, OCS, train control and communications, with each other as well as with civil elements of large scale rail transit projects. Construction or construction management experience is a plus. Systems design experience in at least one discipline is also preferred. The successful candidates will assist with development of integration plans, review and coordination of designs, inspection services during construction, report writing, and project proposal preparation. These positions require a BS, EIT, CAD experience and at least 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar capacity. Qualifications: This positions require a BS, EIT, CAD experience and at least 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar capacity. PE Certification, and extensive industry experience in the design, installation or operations of modern train control systems for railroad and mass transit applications. Knowledge of positive train control and active participation in industry technical societies and organizations is a plus. Participates on national, divisional, and local projects. Works collaboratively with division rail engineering staff and other practice centers around the firm on large, complex projects. Strong organizational skills, and knowledge of business operations are highly desirable, in addition candidate must be able to successfully grow the practice.
