Technical Sales Support MEA Manager / Director - Vertical Markets – telecoms - Egypt

Our customer is a leading, international telecoms solutions provider to both fixed and mobile operators. Due to expansion they require an experienced Technical Sales Support Manager / Directorto be based in Egypt. Your role is to manage the local, regional cluster bid managers and solutions architects teams to drive forward the opportunities in the Vertical Market sector.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Vertical Markets present a great opportunity for both point equipment sales (IP, optics, MW, PBX, etc.) and more complex solutions involving a combination of products for CPG, ASG and EPG together with related services, be they product-attached services or value-added services such as design, integration, consulting, migration etc..

RESPONSIBILTIES

The role consists of managing the LSS (Local Sales Support) team in MEA for Vertical Markets including offer qualification, offer preparation and submission and the support of customers meetings in liaison with the sales team. The team consists of bid managers and solution architects who are located in 4 countries:

o Egypt for the main team
o Regional hubs in Algeria, South Africa and Saudi Arabia
o Interface with the region sales team, contribute to the opportunity qualification process and lead to the Offer

Qualification Meeting.
o Manages Bids and Proposals team workload and allocate resources according to offer priorities.
o Aims to be self-sufficient in term of resource for managing Vertical Market bids in its region independently of the size of deal.
o Rely on customer unit Bids and Proposals team for carrier offers through a Service Level Agreement
o Contribute to the offer strategy, prepare and participate to the Offer Strategy Meetings.
o Prepare and lead Offer Approval Meetings.
o Insure compliancy with Offer Life Process and DoA.
o Recruit and manage the team members (bid manager and solution architects).
o Define and review individual performance objectives and training program.
o Coaches the team for competence development.
o Builds necessary reporting information, KPIs, statistics, win/loss information, utilization, etc. according to Enterprise and Verticals Group reporting rules.

YOUR BACKGROUND

Ideally you will have worked for a leading vendor providing telecoms solutions to vertical markets in the region. Perhaps you have worked for companies like:- Amdocs, Bosch, Cisco, Convergys, Ericsson, Oracle, Sun, Invensys, IBM, etc.. Your ideal background will have been as a solutions architect who has moved in to sales, bids and proposals type responsibilties.
