Job Description
My client is looking for an Associate Director/Associate Estimator to be based from their London City office. The successful candidate will need to have a proven Estimator background and will ideally from Rail or Civils background. Location: London City My client is one of the leading consultancys who are key figures in the construction industry and who provide programme/project management, cost management and management consultancy services. As one of the first consultancies in the construction sector to recruit due to winning work they have an ambitious growth plan and need quality candidates to help with this growth. Considered a big company with a small company feel working in a flat hierarchy structure, social environment where staff feel welcomed and not just a number. Our client requires an Associate Estimator to manage and check sub-ordinates work, and will have previously led and managed a team of estimators. Good estimating experience is essential and experience of stations and operating railways or civils with the rail industry would be a bonus. A clear understanding of ‘first principles’ is a must. Projects our client has carried out or involved in includes Kings Cross Station Redevelopment worth £450million, Crossrail - £16billion and Victoria Station Upgrade - £500million This is a client facing role so naturally client facing skills and being presentable are important attributes for anyone applying. The opportunity to move from one business unit to another is one of the attractive prospects as each unit focuses on certain sectors including Nuclear, Infrastructure Rail & Airports and Power and Highways. Career progression with our client is high on the agenda with evaluation reviews every three months. This is an excellent opportunity for a good Senior Estimator or Associate Estimator to make the next step into managing a team or for an established Partner or Associate Director to work for a company who has a robust reputation in the market with key repeat business clients.
