Senior Expert (Solution Architect) Leader / Manager - Technical Sales Support– Telecoms – Egypt

MEA Vertical Markets Sales Support

Our customer is a leading, international telecoms solutions provider to both fixed and mobile operators. Due to expansion they require an experienced Senior Expert (Soultions Architect) Leader / Manager to be based in Egypt. Your role is to provide technical management and sales support to the MEA solutions architects and bid team to drive forward the opportunities in the Vertical Market sector.

THE ROLE:

The Senior Expert (Solution Architect) Leader / Manager is the technological right-arm of the MEA LSS Leader and is the coordinator of all Solution Architecture/Engineering activity within MEA. He assumes overall responsibility and takes ownership for the technological part (solution wise and not project wise) of the bids that are prepared by MEA LSS. Therefore, he/she has strong involvement in the coordination/supervision/coaching of the solution architects who are spread within MEA, whose main job description is below described. He/she may lead him/herself the solution design activity of some important key complex bids.

Key areas of responsibility and accountability are:

* Technical support to the Verticals Sales team (Sales Managers and Sales Engineers) (understanding customer requirements, elaboration of network architecture and associated solution, technical expertise)
* Contribution to the customer offer strategy,
* Design of network architectures matching customer requirements highlighting products and services capabilities,
* Minimizing solution overall cost of ownership,
* Anticipation of any interconnection issues and impact of the new network elements to be built with existing customer,
* Definition and description of the technical solutions being proposed including the configuration of equipment, evaluation of technical risks and understanding of engineering and technical support costs during the realization of the customer project,
* Coordination of internal and external parties providing a subset of the overall solution to ensure that the overall solution is complete.
* Interface with internal product groups and external 3rd parties to ensure that proper key features for the solution exist or are developed.

Your Qualifications and Experience:

Work Domain:

· Similar experience in a Managerial or Lead Sales Support and/or Large Project support is required.
· Knowledge/experience and successful track record of winning projects in one or several Verticals market Segments (Transport, Energy, Oil&Gas, Defense, Government, etc.) is required.

Technical:

· Capacity to design complex network architectures and good understanding of some of the key enabling technologies such as optical and microwave transport, Ethernet switching or IP routing,

· Capacity (and proven track record), to design complex network architecture involving the most common 3rd party technologies of the Verticals Markets: SCADA, CCTV, Access Controls, Alarm management, Clock, PAGA, UHF/VHF, TETRA, OSS/BSS, Message panels, etc.

· Experiences in some of - (IP, optics, MW, PBX, etc.) and more complex solutions involving a combination of products for CPG, ASG and EPG together with related services, be they product-attached services or value-added services such as design, integration, consulting, migration etc..

· Strong understanding of customers issues and needs,
· Capability to coordinate both internal entities and external 3rd party vendors
· Capability to understand and coordinate technical offers from other internal groups or external vendors,
· Deep understanding of overall customer deployment costs with respect of total cost of ownership
· Excellent verbal and written presentation and communication skills,
· Capability to understand commercial and financial aspects.

Behaviour:

· Program/Time Management skills, as well as ability to coordinate and motivate a large adhoc team.
· Candidate should be willing to participate in various offer teams and has demonstrated ability to work in team, under timeline pressures to deliver high quality offer within required customer deadlines.
· Long hours will be required. Regular hardwork periods are expected.Travel is required as needed however, the B&P Verticals Cluster Manager will make best efforts to schedule in the best interests of the team members.
