Job Description
Overview: The time is right to join HNTB Corporation. We are seeking candidates for a Sr. Signal Engineering role in our Rail Systems Group located in Philadelphia, PA. This person will be responsible for direction and supervision of a large rail projects. Department revenue usually is in excess of USD 1.5 million per year. Coordinates project priorities, staffing schedules, and staff assignments to ensure clients are provided the best design capabilities to meet their needs. Responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and maintenance of design engineering programs and efficient, productive utilization of staff in providing high-quality service. Coordinate activities of engineering department or section. Assign priorities and staff to jobs. Coordinate time and budget on jobs. Client contact. Quality control. Qualifications: At least 15 years of experience in the rail industry with experience in signal and controls and increasing managerial and supervisory experience. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, PE Certification, and extensive industry experience in the design, installation or operations of modern train control systems for railroad and mass transit applications. Knowledge of positive train control and active participation in industry technical societies and organizations is a plus. Participates on national, divisional, and local projects. Works collaboratively with division rail engineering staff and other practice centers around the firm on large, complex projects. Strong organizational skills, and knowledge of business operations are highly desirable, in addition candidate must be able to successfully grow the practice.
