We are currently looking to grow in B.C. and seeking a Senior Transportation Project Manager/Engineer. The ideal candidate will serve as generalist in the areas of transportation design and project management. Building off our existing client base in western Canada, this person will strategize with our Regional VP and execute marketing plans to position HDR\|iTRANS as a transportation planning and design consultant of choice in the region among both public and private sector clients. The duties include management of transportation planning and traffic engineering projects and client development / pursuits throughout the region, as well as plan, organize, and supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and technicians. This person must be able to independently manage large and small transportation projects and possess the passion and entrepreneurial spirit for developing business relationships through client interaction, project pursuits, and general marketing activities. Keyword(s): Senior Project Manager Engineer, Project Management, Engineering, highway, roadway, rail, railway, transit, planning, detailed design, construction Requirements • BSc Civil in a related engineering discipline. • P.Eng. required or eligible • 10-15+ years of professional experience in transportation engineering / planning, project management, and/or construction • MS Office, MS Project and related transportation software experience is required • Demonstrated business development and strategic planning skills. • Good communication, leadership, planning and mentoring skills. • Enjoys a exposure to a diverse workload within the transportation consulting industry (planning, detailed design, construction, safety, signals/ITS, etc)
