More information about this job: Overview: HNTB Corporation is seeking an architecture CAD Technician with advanced proficiency in CADD drafting. Incumbent will perform non-routine and complex assignments involving responsibility for planning and conducting complete projects of varied scope. Responsibilities: * Assists architects in outlining objectives, requirements and design approaches * Knowledgeable in assist software such as GIS, 3D, Highway or Railroad design, building design and graphic imaging * Responsible for gathering architecture data from a variety of sources * Preparing drawings and assisting lex experience technicians with training and mentoring responsibilities * Attend project and pre-construction meetings and provides input to ensure proper policies, procedures, and specifications are followed * Performs general administrative assistance by maintaining project plans * May develop documentation, budget figures, staffing needs and training plans, goals and accomplishments for project management reports * Verify accuracy of drawings * Maintain project libraries * Prepare detail and quantity calculations * Check of detail and quantity calculations * Assists engineer in outlining objectives, requirements and design approaches * Coordinate between disciplines on multi-discipline projects * Perform extensive architecture related computations Qualifications: One or 2 years technical school or Associate of Science plus 8 years experience, or BS in drafting technology or similar non-architecture/engineering degree plus 4 years experience.
