Rail Link Between Baghdad And Basra Busy With Trains
Iraq is using its old rail network for both passenger and freight purposes, particularly the line linking Baghdad to Basra, an official statement said.

Turkey To Spend Usd 3.5 Billion For Railway Projects In 2010
Turkey aims to focus on high-speed train service in 2010 and plans to invest around 3.5 billion USD next year to improve country's railroad network, head of Turkish State Railways, or TCDD, said on Wednesday.

Third Railway Gate Between Turkey-syria Opens
The third railway gate between Turkey and Syria opened in Elbeyli town of the southeastern province of Kilis on Tuesday.

Turkish Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim and his Syrian counterpart Yarub Sulayman Badr inaugurated the Cobanbey Railway Border Pass.

Work On Armenia-iran Railway To Begin In April
YEREVAN (News.az)—Armenia is set to begin work, early-next year, on a large-scale project aimed at connecting Armenia and Iran through a north-south railway, according to Armenia’s Transport and Communications Minister Gurgen Sargsyan.

Tcdd Bids For Operation Of Mecca-medina High-speed Rail
Turkey's state-owned railway company is set to submit a bid in a tender to operate a Mecca-Medina high-speed train, Turkish railway officials said on Thursday.

German Rail Group To Ink $25bn Qatar Deal

Tehran Metro Company Rejects Reports Of Fire
Following reports of a blaze in one of the Iranian capital's subway stations, a senior official with Tehran's metro company rejects the claim, saying that no disruption was caused in train services.

Earlier on Tuesday, Iranian media reported a fire at the Haft-e-Tir metro station in central Tehran at 13:41 pm.
